Rodeo’s Richest Day: Resistol Athletes Win Big at The American Rodeo Championship Weekend

History was rewritten, with Team Resistol at the center of it.

Rodeo’s richest day and one of the sport’s premier events has officially come to a close, paying out more than $3 million inside Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. Featuring the sport’s top athletes, The American Rodeo Championship Weekend once again delivered one of rodeo’s most anticipated competitions while showcasing the Western lifestyle through entertainment, fashion and country music.

As the official hat of The American Rodeo Championship Weekend, Resistol proudly crowned the event’s champions with new Resistol 1000X Pure pearl-shaded felt hats, a lifetime award commemorating a life-changing victory.

The coveted $2 million bonus was awarded and split among three qualifying athletes who defeated the sport’s top competitors.

When the dust settled, qualifier Team Resistol breakaway roper Rickie Fanning, saddle bronc rider Sage Newman and steer wrestler Gavin Soileau stood atop the leaderboard, each earning a share of the historic payout.

The headlines continued as invitees and PRCA standouts captured the remaining event titles, including many Team Resistol athletes.

In one of the afternoon’s most emotional moments, invitees and Team Resistol members Clint Summers and Jade Corkill claimed the team roping championship with a 4.83-second run. Following the victory, Corkill dedicated the win to breakaway roper Kelsie Domer’s late daughter, Oaklynn.

Headlining rodeo’s crown jewel was 10-time world champion and Team Resistol athlete Stetson Wright, who secured the bull riding championship with an 89-point ride.

The action came down to the final moments, keeping fans and athletes on the edge of their seats while adding another chapter to western sports history. As the 2026 edition of The American Rodeo Championship Weekend came to a close, it once again cemented its place as one of the most prestigious and lucrative events in Western sports, with a sea of Resisol’s filling Globe Life Field.
