On National Day of the Cowgirl, we celebrate the spirit of the women who define rodeo. From rising stars carrying family legacies to trailblazers shaping the sport for future generations, these Resistol cowgirls prove that rodeo excellence knows no bounds. Today, we honor the Resistol women who continue to inspire.

Hali Williams Carries the Legacy Forward

At 22 years old, Hali Williams is proving that rodeo greatness runs deep in the family. The daughter of Speed Williams, 15-time Wrangler Nationals Finals Rodeo and eight-time world champion, Hali grew up in the arena, learning from one of only seven team ropers in history to qualify for the NFR as both a header and a heeler. Now, she’s making her own mark. With two National Finals Breakaway Roping qualifications already under her belt, Hali is chasing her third—this time with her biggest fan, her dad, cheering her on from the sidelines.

Resistol and the Voice of Professional Rodeo

This year, Resistol proudly became the official hat of Miss Rodeo America, championing the young women who serve as ambassadors for the sport. During her reign, Miss Rodeo America travels roughly 100,000 miles, attending nearly 100 rodeo performances and countless school, civic, and special events, sharing the heritage of rodeo, spotlighting its sponsors, and inspiring the next generation.

The 2025 title belongs to Callie Mueller of Florence, South Dakota—the sixth woman from her state to hold her crown. A dedicated horsewoman and respected voice in the equine community, Callie holds two Bachelor of Education degrees and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Educational Leadership.

Kirsten Volds is Closing a Legendary Chapter

After more than five decades of world-class bucking stock, Kirsten Vold has announced she will retire from her role as PRCA stock contractor at the end of 2025—marking the end of an area for the Vold Rodeo Company.

Founded in 1954 by her father, Hall of Fame stock contractor Harry Vold, the company became a cornerstone of professional rodeo, providing elite stock to every Wrangler NFR from 1959 to 2024. Under Harry and later Kirsten’s leadership, Vold Rodeo earned 11 Stock Contractor of the Year titles and produced countless award-winning stock.

Kirsten officially took the reins in 2017 and has spent over 25 years ensuring the Vold name remained synonymous with integrity and excellence. At the close of 2025, Frontier Rodeo Company, longtime partners in bucking stock breeding, will purchase Vold Rodeo’s PRCA membership card and most of its roughstock, ensuring the Vold influence lives on in arenas across the country.

Taylor Munsell Setting the Pace

Taylor Munsell is riding high in the 2025 season, holding the number one spot in the world standings for breakaway roping. With more than half a million in career earnings and four straight NFBR appearances since 2021, she’s no stranger to the winner’s circle. This year, she’s added two big wins to her resume—claiming back-to-back Reno Rodeo titles with 8.0 seconds on three head and taking home the win at RodeoHouston.

On National Day of the Cowgirl, we honor these women—not just for their accomplishments in the arena, but for the inspiration, leadership, and legacy they bring to the sport of rodeo. Hali, Callie, Kirsten, and Taylor remind us that the spirit of cowgirl is alive and guiding the next generation to ride boldly into the future.
