LAS VEGAS, NEVADA—During the 2024 luncheon celebration for the Resistol Rookies of the Year, Resistol awarded the “Resistol Man of the Year.” This is given to someone within the Western industry who goes above and beyond to further the lifestyle, the sport and the industry as a whole. This individual ultimately exemplifies the meaning behind the Resistol brand.

Dustin Noblitt, CEO of HatCo., Inc., and Devin Marcum, General Manager of Resistol, named Pete Carr the 2024 Resistol Man of the Year. Carr will join the names of other past recipients, such as country music star Cody Johnson, American Quarter Horse Association CEO Karl Stressman, Wilfire Open founder Billy Pipes, and Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame announcer Bob Tallman.

Carr is the founder and CEO of Pete Carr Pro Rodeo, a leading Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Stock Contractor with over 20 years of excellence.

His contributions have earned him more than 17 nominations for PRCA Stock Contractor of the Year. A Dallas native and former bareback rider, Carr was inducted into the 2024 Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame as a rodeo personnel honoree, alongside his celebrated horse, Dirty Jacket, recognized as a rodeo animal.

Carr has raised over seven Bareback Horse of the Year and Reserve Bareback Horse of the Year. His impressive resume of accomplishments continues to set new standards and drive innovation in the rodeo industry.
