Team Resistol Athletes Cash In During a Lucrative Cowboy Christmas

One of rodeo's most celebrated stretches, the bustling Fourth of July run, featured patriotic celebrations as America marked its 250th anniversary of freedom, while athletes chased coveted titles and looked to successfully continue their 2026 summer rodeo campaigns.

Better known as Cowboy Christmas, the week delivered another lucrative run for #TeamResistol endorsees, who earned more than $482,600 in total while collecting 23 event and average titles at some of rodeo's most prestigious summer stops.

From the famed start of the Calgary Stampede to historic rodeos in Cody, Wyoming; St. Paul, Oregon; and Prescott, Arizona, Team Resistol athletes continued building momentum in the PRCA World Standings during one of the busiest stretches of the season.

Resistol, the proud official hat of the PRCA and rodeos like the St. Paul Rodeo, which celebrated its 90th edition this Fourth of July, celebrates the success of rodeos across the country and the Team Resistol athletes who came out on top.

After an impressive start to the Calgary Stampede, 10-time World Champion Stetson Wright has banked $20,783 thus far to lead earnings across multiple leaderboards. "Superman" currently leads the PRCA all-around and saddle bronc riding world standings, surpassing the $200,000 earnings mark in saddle bronc riding while nearing $300,000 in total earnings, setting the pace for another record-setting season.

Fellow bull rider and Resistol Rookie Noah Lee put together one of the strongest Cowboy Christmas performances of any rookie, climbing to No. 2 in the PRCA World Standings with $172,321 won thus far this season after victories at the St. Paul Rodeo ($16,963), Cody Stampede ($10,863) and Livingston Roundup ($6,692).

Team ropers Ketch Kelton and Denton Dunning also found great success during the week, amassing $20,422 each with runner-up finishes at the Cody Stampede, Oakley Independence Day Rodeo, Basin City Freedom Rodeo and Killdeer Mountain Roundup. Following a highly lucrative summer run, Arizona native Dunning jumped to No. 9 in the world standings as he looks to capture his first National Finals Rodeo (NFR) qualification.

Kelton made one of the week's biggest moves, climbing to No. 11 in the world standings with $62,390 won thus far. The Resistol Rookie also leads the coveted Resistol Rookie of the Year race in both the heading and all-around standings.

Bareback rider Leighton Berry swept titles at both the Cody Stampede and Killdeer Mountain Roundup, earning more than $19,000 during the week while continuing his successful 2026 campaign and moving up to No. 7 in the world standings. World champion bareback rider Keenan Hayes also claimed a pair of championships, winning the Livingston Roundup and Black Hills Roundup, while NFR qualifier Dawson Hay topped the field in saddle bronc riding at the Killdeer Mountain Roundup.

Additional Team Resistol victories came from bareback rider Jess Pope, who won the St. Paul Rodeo, and Cash Wilson, who captured the saddle bronc riding title at St. Paul. Pope climbed to No. 5 in the world standings following a successful Fourth of July run, while Wilson moved to No. 20, inching closer to the top 15.

Leading the Resistol Rookie of the Year barrel racing race, Morgan Bagnell remained No. 11 in the world standings with $55,315 earned thus far, keeping herself firmly in contention for both the coveted rookie title and her first National Finals Rodeo qualification as the second half of the season continues.

With Cowboy Christmas now complete, Team Resistol athletes continue positioning themselves atop leaderboards across the United States and Canada, looking to secure coveted top-15 positions before the season reaches its Oct. 1 deadline.
