SANTA BARBARA RODEO RECOGNIZES RESISTOL OWNER AND CEO DUSTIN NOBLITT WITH LEGACY AWARD

A leader in the Western industry both in and out of the arena, Resistol owner and CEO Dustin Noblitt was recently honored by the Santa Barbara Rodeo with the creation of the Dustin Noblitt Legacy Award. The recognition celebrates his decades of leadership, service and commitment to preserving the Western way of life.

 

The inaugural award was presented to the California native during this year's Santa Barbara Rodeo. Organizers recognized Noblitt as "a dedicated leader and true champion of rodeo whose decades of service have helped preserve its traditions, strengthen its future and advance the Western way of life."

 

The Dustin Noblitt Legacy Award will be presented annually to individuals whose leadership, dedication and commitment help preserve and advance the Western lifestyle, organizers said. The honor reflects Noblitt's lifelong contributions to the Western industry and his strong ties to the Santa Barbara Rodeo.

 

The Noblitt family's connection to the rodeo spans four generations, dating back to Noblitt's grandfather and father, who both competed in Santa Barbra. Dustin first entered the famed arena at 11 years old in 1985, and his daughters, Sadie and Avery, later continued the family tradition.

 

Noblitt also helped shape the rodeo's future through his leadership. He served as arena director from 2006 to 2010 before serving as rodeo chairman from 2011 to 2015, helping strengthen an event that celebrates Santa Barbara's rich Western heritage.

"I am truly honored and humbled to receive this award," Noblitt said. "The Santa Barbara Rodeo has been a part of my life since 1985. As a third-generation competitor, I've had the privilege of roping and riding alongside my grandfather, my father and both of my daughters.”

 

"This rodeo is deeply woven into my family's heritage," he said. "It represents the traditions and values rooted in farming and ranching within this community — values that make it so incredibly special.”

 

"I've been fortunate not only to compete with my family and friends, but also to volunteer over the years to help keep this tradition alive," he said. "Thank you to the Santa Barbara Rodeo for this Legacy Award. I am eternally grateful."

 

Noblitt's commitment to Western heritage extends far beyond the Santa Barbra arena. As the owner and CEO of ProEquine Group and RHE Hatco–which is home to several Western brands, including Resistol– Noblitt lives and promotes the lifestyle everyday. 

 

The award ceremony also featured renowned silversmith and close friend Clint Orms, owner of Clint Orms Engravers & Silversmiths, who crafted a custom buckle commemorating the honor.

 

Resistol tips its hat to its leader on this well-deserved recognition and celebrates his unwavering dedication to preserving and promoting the Western lifestyle for generations to come.
