RESISTOL CONTINUES PARTNERSHIP WITH THE PRCA

Since 1959, Resistol has stood alongside professional rodeo athletes as the official hat of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA). Through a new 10-year agreement, Resistol will continue its longstanding partnership with the association, reinforcing its commitment to PRORODEO and the generations of athletes who carry the sport forward.

Rooted in a shared Western heritage, the partnership reflects Resistol’s continued investment in the growth of PRORODEO. As part of the agreement, Resistol will remain the official hat of the PRCA and the presenting sponsor of the Resistol Rookie of the Year race, supporting athletes as they begin their professional careers and compete at the highest levels of the sport.

Resistol President Devin Marcum reflected on the significance of the extended partnership and the brand’s continued commitment to PRORODEO and the values of the Western way of life. “Resistol’s 10-year extension as the Official Hat of the PRCA is a tremendous honor and a continuation of a legacy built over generations. Since 1959, Resistol has stood alongside the PRCA, and in 1956, John W. Jones Sr. became the first Resistol Rookie of the Year. For decades, world champions have worn their Resistol while being crowned the best in their event. Resistol is more than a hat — it’s an authentic part of the everyday ranch and rodeo lifestyle, trusted by the people who live it every day. We’re proud to extend this partnership for another 10 years and continue building a legacy that has been decades in the making.”

The PRCA also recognizes the significance of the partnership and its lasting impact on PRORODEO. “The PRCA is excited to extend our decades-long partnership with a 'tip of the Resistol' for the next ten years. As the PRCA celebrates 90 years, we are proud to work with Resistol as they prepare to celebrate their 100th anniversary in 2027 with this monumental agreement as the official hat of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo,” said Paul Woody, PRCA's Chief Marketing Officer.

The extended agreement will continue Resistol’s longstanding support of the PRCA through 2037, further strengthening a partnership built on a shared commitment to rodeo, its athletes and the Western way of life.
